So how did it go? Very good I would say, as I won two of three matches. But I would call it more of a beginners luck than anything else. I was able to borrow some units so my army of 998 points consisted of: Scar-veteran - light armour, shield and Burning Blade of Chotec. 16 Saurus warriors - full command. 15 Saurus warriors - musican and standard 10 Skink skirmisher 10 Skink skirmisher 2...
Motivational challenge and other stuff
Pledge for May will be 5 skinks with handweapon and blowpipe. It will only be five of them because with the pledge of april it felt like I had to rush it in the end. By doing this I hope that it will lead to better quality and that I don’t have to feel that I have to repaint some of it. In other news, I will participate in a smal tournament against some friends this weekend. It will be...
Pledge for the month of april: done!
The ten Saurus warrios are done and here are the results: I’m sort of happy with the result except for the banner as I didnt know how to paint it and I will probably repaint it at some point. Let’s see what the month of may has to offer Edit: How nice of me to not take a picture of the saurus back…. so here is another picture
Pledge for the month of april
For this month my pledge will be ten Saurus warriors. Three of them will be a Saurus Champion, Musician and a Standard bearer. As for now they all look like this and unlike with the saurus oldblood/scar-veteran I will paint everything before I put it together.
So challenge for march is done: The scales on his right leg got a little messed up as I tried different painting schemes on it, other than that I’m satisfied with the result.
Had a game of warhammer this friday against a friend. I played my lizardmen and he played as the tomb kings. I won by a large margin as he only killed two of my saurus warriors and 10 temple guards. Two of my cold one cavalry died but that was because of that I charge through woods. While I managed to wipe him out. To be fair though I was very lucky with my rolls, especially with my charge with...
Challenge for March - A New Beginning!
This month will be special because I have decided to start play Warhammer fantasy. I was choosing between Warriors of Chaos or the Lizardmen and after some time arguing with myself I choose Lizardmen. So I bought the starterbox and a Saurus oldblood this week. I will start slowly by only painting the Saurus oldblood for this month and hopefully a squad for the next but we shall see:
February challenge is done! And we shall see what the month of march has to offer…
A little late perhaps but it’s here now… These two french medium bombers will be my february challenge
So the challenge for this month is done:
I accept your challenge Angelsanguine! As for this month I will do the French battleship: But I had already started on it earlier this month so this is the only picture I have.
Late as usual...
This is the December challenge with some french submarines that are not yellow. First the semi-submurged: And then the unsubmurged: So I’m done for this year!
More French Stuff
More frigates have been finished. And now the cruisers They are not finished tho because I want to add something more to them but I just don’t know what yet. Another thing I have to do with them is to put magnets on them, they are so annoying to move around as they like to tilt and spinn around on there little pole like an idiot. And for the December challenge I’ll do either the...
Challenge of November
Challenge of November is done Another note is that I got to try my french fleet in a game yesterday against a friend. It went well and I won thanks to having an easier mission than him. He had the mission to destroy or capture all large or massive ships and I had to destroy or capture 50% of his fleet including all small ships. Which was basically kill his small ships and his cruisers. Since I...
Challenge of October
I have started to paint my french fleet and here is the result I wanted the blue part to be more clear but Will try a diffrent approach next time and ad the blue after I wash and dry brush the ships.
What is this? an update?!
Well alot of stuff has happening this month. First my phone died and is was gone for 2 weeks for repairs. So I couldn’t take any good pictures. I have quit my job and started to go to university. But now for the september challenge! The kiyohime class assault carrier: And more inaris! Will try to update this more often.
Even more stuff
Large flyer done
Small flyers done.
My challenge for august was the Hachiman Class Dreadnought
The weather is changing...
Finished my escorts but they are not part of the august challange, Im just lazy again… But in other news I bought the Hurricane season book today and there are some new rules that seems intresting. -Fleet commodores have additional things they can do ex. for the Prussians that can make the order of close gunnery wich means that a small or medium ship can hit with it’s Primary...
As per request from Angelsanguine this is my fleet that is painted so far: So what’s left to paint? 1 dreadnaught, 1 large flier, 6 escort ships, 3 smal fliers, 2 more inaris, more tiny flyers and then I have to buy the sea carrier and paint that.
Ride of the valkyries
Well sort of anyway… This is not a painting frenzy because I have been lazy with the uploads. First we have the DFA-170 ‘Amaterasu’ class bomber: I was tempted to paint them like the plane in talespin but then it wouldn’t look like it was part of the Japanese warmachine. Then we have the Inari class scout gyro: And then the mighty Tenkei sky fortress: I also...
Painting Frenzy #2
July challenge is completed with a painting frenzy. First up is the Tanuki Class Gunship: Next up is 3 Fujin Class Corvette: And then a lonely Uwatsu Class Frigate so that I have two squadrons of 4:
Dystopian Wars battle
End of turn 2 in a battle between Angelsanguine’s Covenant of Antarctica vs my Empire of the Blazing Sun. Wanted to take more pictures but my phone decided to die on me so therefore not the best picture. The battle itself ended in me losing convincingly as I couldn’t damage his large flyer, battleship and his medium flyers while he destroyed almost all of my fleet except the...
June challenge complete: Release the kraken!
So for my june project was the mechanical Ika(squid) first for the submerge model: And then the unsubmerge one from the side: And from the front:
May challenge complete! These vessles were rather easy to paint but it took me almost a month to complete them, mostly because I’m lazy. Now back to slaying demons….
Battleship operational and mission: total failure
It only took 20 days to complete the battleship… As for mission: total failure I succeeded to destroy my drybrush pencil, failed when primeing the destroyers and spill alot of wash paint so that is now almost an empty bottle! I’m awesome!
I have had alot of free time lately and not much to do so I have painted alot. So I have already finished my april challange which was to finish 3 more frigates. But I have also finished two more cruisers so that the cruiser squad is done. And I have started on my battleship, it will probably not be finished this week because of work and other stuff but maybe next week.
First post and first squadron of my Empire of the blazing sun fleet
